Conducting

The Conducting programme prepares students for artistic and organizational work in instrumental, vocal, and vocal-and-instrumental ensembles, including symphonic orchestras. In order to expand their theoretical and practical knowledge of conducting and to seek new ways of expressing themselves through their musical language, students participate in numerous visitations and training sessions in choral and orchestra ensembles. They become familiar with works from earlier eras (first-cycle studies) and with music of the 20th and 21st century (second-cycle studies). The conducting skills acquired during the programme enable the graduates to engage in various artistic projects, including those combining various disciplines of art. Graduates of the Conducting programme are known for their active involvement in cultural institutions, the media and in cultural management.
