Subject description:
The studies provide extended knowledge in the field of mathematical, natural and technical sciences as well as the ability to independently analyze and professionally solve problems in the field of chemical and process engineering. The graduate is prepared to: conduct advanced experimental research, propose and optimize new solutions, work creatively in the design of operations and processes used in the chemical and related industries, and make decisions taking into account technical, legal and logistic conditions.
Students are able to:
- understand the phenomena and processes in the field of chemistry and related sciences, describe them and explain
- use advanced computer software used in chemical engineering (e.g. modeling of biochemical structures and processes, chemical databases)
- Design to obtain the product in accordance with applicable standards
- Select chemical equipment and optimize process conditions in the chemical, biotechnology and environmental protection industries, based on process economics
