From the academic year 2022/2023, we run a new specialization in European Studies, EU Politics (check the curriculum).

The programme is offered by the Chair of European Studies (Faculty of Social Sciences) at the University of Wroclaw. The curriculum focuses on the EU institutions, law, economics and policies but also on the specific knowledge related to European geopolitics, management and information society. In seminars, workshops and discussion sessions, students will analyze problems related to EU external relations, the area of freedom, security and justice, EU governance, and more. Particular emphasis will be put on various aspects of EU regional policy and skills associated with the management of EU funds and projects.

The MA program is postgraduate one, that requires from candidate to hold BA or MA degree in any area. The programme is taught entirely in English by experts in their fields. The course lasts two years, structured in four semesters, the first of which runs from the end of September to mid-February, the second from the beginning of March to the end of June. In order to receive the Master’s degree, the graduates will be required to complete 120 ECTS points in up to four semesters and write a Master’s thesis.

If you have concluded your BA in Political Sciences, European Studies, International Relations, Law, Economics, Administration, Humanities, Languages or other related studies, you are eligible for this MA.

A graduate of the European Studies program is a specialist prepared to work as a professional staff member at institutions of local and national government, and national and international cultural and social agencies, such as EU institutions and other international organizations. The European Studies programme prepares graduates for work in public and private enterprises in Poland and throughout the European States. It would be also available experience for students planning their career development at institutions of non-EU states with wide cooperation with the European Union.
